Numbers: Rational and Irrational

$45.00
by Niven, Ivan

Published in 1961 by Random House, New York
Edition: First
Binding: Paperback
Condition: Very Good
Comments: A book on mathematical systems for older students--not for teachers or for for those already engaged with higher mathematics, but for high school or college students who have gotten the bug for pure mathematics but need a good place to start so they can pursue their interests further. The book starts with the basic structures of classifying numbers into various categories and ends with recent developments in mathematics. There are diagrams throughout. Though there is a bit of cracking in the spine, in general, this copy is in the best condition of any on the market, with no markings, creases, or tears on the pages and hardly any wear on the cover. See our photos.
